This exciting PhD opportunity – due to begin 01.01.2020 – is part of the Humboldt University’s interdisciplinary Cluster of Excellence: Matters of Activity – Image, Space, Material. It is to work within the project Object, Space, Agency. We are looking for an anthropologist to research questions of object agency through comparative case-studies, one in a non-European and one in a European context, and with relevance to themes of environment, nature and sustainability, broadly conceived. The precise focus is open and we welcome proposals that show knowledge of relevant literature and ideas for a project that could be completed as a PhD. Further details are available in the link below. Please note that the 67% working time does not mean that you have to find other employment for the remaining 33% – it is just the way that such posts are designated in Germany. Please send this information to anybody who might be interested.
Deadline for applications: 28.09.2019
