The School for International Studies at Simon Fraser University invites applications for the Simons Research Fellow for the 2020–2021 academic year, with the possibility of reappointment for a second year.
Simon Fraser University is a leading Canadian public research university (consistently ranked #1 by Maclean’s Magazine for best comprehensive university in Canada). The School for International Studies is an interdisciplinary unit with research and teaching programs focused on peace and security; international development; human rights and international law; and governance and civil society. The School is based at SFU’s Vancouver campus in the heart of downtown.
The Simons Research Fellow will participate in School activities during the term of their appointment, deliver at least one presentation of their work to the School, and will teach one course in their area of expertise.
Compensation for the Simons Research Fellow is $45,000 CAD plus benefits, with an additional $3,000 CAD in research support. Selection will be based on qualifications and expected contribution to the intellectual life of the School.
