Applications are invited for a permanent Lectureship in the Cultural Anthropology Programme within the School of Social and Cultural Studies, Victoria University of Wellington. The successful applicant for this position will have a PhD in anthropology in hand at time of application, experience in teaching at a tertiary level, and a developing research profile, which includes evidence of scholarly publications. We are especially interested in candidates with research and teaching expertise in political and visual anthropology and a regional focus in Asia.  The successful candidate will be expected to develop new areas of teaching and research in these specific domains while also contributing to the development and delivery of core courses in cultural anthropology. Supervision of postgraduate research will also be expected. This position will commence mid-February 2017.
