£42,036 to £48,677 per annum, pro rata

The School of International Development (www.uea.ac.uk/dev) is recruiting to maintain and develop its internationally recognised research on social anthropology and international development. The post holder will also contribute to the reputation of and recruitment to core undergraduate and postgraduate anthropology teaching in the School, incorporating core academic duties such as supervision, advising and marking. The post holder will contribute to teaching on introductory anthropology, qualitative research methods including ethnographic research methods, and various aspects of development anthropology. We would especially welcome applicants with teaching expertise in gender and development or health and development.

In addition to your main specialism, we expect successful applicants will have potential to contribute to other strategic areas of teaching in the School, for example, development practice, human geography, politics and international development, or media and international development.

The primary criteria for appointment will be demonstrable research and teaching experience and ability and strong intellectual and professional achievement commensurate with the level of Lecturer.

The post is available on a part-time (0.6fte), fixed-term basis from 1 January 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter, until 31 August 2023.
