Research Fellow in Creative and Gender Transformative Climate Action in Myanmar
Fixed Term for 30 months
School of Geography, Faculty of Environment, University of Leeds
Closing Date: 3rd February 2021
You will join an engaged research team working on the project ‘Gender, Generation and Climate Change (GENERATE): Creative Approaches to Building Inclusive and Climate Resilient Cities in Uganda and Myanmar’, funded by UKRI.
GENERATE will build a creative, feminist and participatory research framework that combines and mobilises social science and applied arts methodologies to deliver new evidence on how gender, sexuality and age intersect to reduce urban residents’ ability to adapt and benefit equitably from climate action and sustainable development. You will work in partnership with marginalised communities, artists and diverse stakeholders to co-produce, implement and evaluate strategies for gender-transformative climate action and raise the profile and participation of marginalised groups in urban climate planning and policy.
