The European Association of Social Anthropology (EASA) is holding its biennial conference fully online and covid-proofed this 20-24 July.

Registration fees are €15 for those in low income countries, and €70/30 (depending on income level) for any members of an anthropology association. This gives you access to over 180 online panels and labs spread through the week, plus the keynote lecture, exciting plenary events and many opportunities for networking. All are welcome, whether or not you are a signed-up anthropologist

Knowing that finances are tight for many of us (and for universities) EASA has subsidised this event to make it the cheapest EASA biennial yet. More than 1000 people have already registered.

This year’s online conference represents an unrivalled opportunity for scholars from across every part of the world to join in the discussions at this major European anthropology conference.

No visa restrictions, no travel costs, lots of great ideas..

View the content here and register here before rates rise on 29 June.

(P.S. Experience shows that while good bandwidth is important, it is not an excluding issue for the majority of participants, including those based in Africa, South Asia and other parts of the ‘global south’.)
