Open invitation for blog posts for the newly created blog by the Anthropological Journal of European Cultures (AJEC): http://ajecblog.berghahnjournals.com

Reflections on anthropological and ethnological fieldwork are welcome. Ethnographic vignettes should be in the range of 500-800 words with one photo.

General blog posts that speak to contemporary issues/events in Europe (e.g. social, cultural, economic, political transformations, climate change, etc.) are also welcome. Other matters relevant to the development of European anthropology/ethnology will also be considered, including themes such as reflections on theoretical approaches, and new and old research methods.

Posts on the theme of recommendations/advice for early career researchers by senior researchers, as well as articles from early career researchers dedicated to their experiences starting work in European anthropology, will also be considered.

Submissions may be from all strands of anthropology and ethnology, as well as interdisciplinary work that includes an anthropology component as long as they focus on Europe (broadly understood) and European communities.

The AJEC Blog aims to complement and add to the work of the journal by expanding the work on European anthropology. It targets both academic and non-academic audiences. We recommend that interested academic bloggers consider this in scoping potential contributions (in terms of writing style, references, etc.).
