2 research positons (65% E 13 TV-L HU, possibility of doctorate) are available within the research project “Curating Digital Images: Ethnographic Perspectives on the Affordances of Digital Images in Museum and Heritage Contexts” (part of the priority programme “The Digital Image”, funded by the German Research Foundation).
We are looking for applicants with a background in cultural anthropology/European ethnology or media studies, with previous experience in ethnographic or qualitative research and very good German and English language skills. The positions are located at the Centre for Anthropological Research on Museums and Heritage (CARMAH) and the Institute for European Ethnology at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and focus on the topics “Curating Digital Images of Museum and Heritage Experiences on Social Media” and “Curating Digital Images from Online Archives in Museum and Heritage Contexts”. Applicants may apply for one position or for both but must ensure that they make this clear by referencing both application numbers (DR/167/19 and DR/166/19).
