The research project “Challenging Populist Truth-Making in Europe (CHAPTER): The Role of Museums in a Digital ‘Post-Truth’ European Society” (funded by the VolkswagenStiftung), is recruiting a fully-funded research positions for a PhD students with Polish and English language skills (4 years) at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Coordinated by Christoph Bareither and Sharon Macdonald at the Centre for Anthropological Research on Museums and Heritage (CARMAH) at the Institute for European Ethnology / Humboldt University of Berlin (Germany), and in cooperation with the University College London (UK; PI Haidy Geismar) and the Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland; PI Roma Sendyka), the project will develop approaches and best practice examples to support museums in challenging the growing influence of populist discourse in Europe through digital innovation.
