An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hard-working and motivated student with knowledge and experience in health promotion and/or public health to undertake a funded PhD opportunity on inequalities in cancer screening at the Hull York Medical School. The successful candidate will join the TRANSFORM Team funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research to understand and improve inequalities in experiences of, and outcomes from, cancer. We are a team of multi-disciplinary researchers working across early detection and diagnosis, treatment and palliative care.

For this PhD opportunity we are looking for research proposals on one or more of the national cancer screening programmes (cervical, breast or bowel screening) using any methods (quantitative, qualitative or mixed-methods). For more information please refer to the advert HERE

Deadline is the 13th July with interviews late July but please get in touch if this deadline is likely to cause any problems as there can be a degree of flexibility. If you have any queries please contact Dr Jo Cairns (joanne.cairns@hyms.ac.uk).
